Satine Glass

Satine process is acid matting or the process of removing silicon particles from the surface of a glass with acid. Thus, microscopic pits are formed on the glass surface and our eyes see the glass as white due to the refraction of light in different directions. Its biggest advantage over sandblasted glass is that it does not hold fingerprints and can be cleaned much easier. It has a much smoother surface than sandblasted glass.

It is used in the process of clean float glass, ultra-clear float glass, tinted glass and mirror satine as a variety of glass. Satine glass can be tempered, curved and used in all other glass processings.
