Şişecam Temperable Solar Low-E Glass

Şişecam Temperable Solar Low-E Glass is Şişecam Float Glass's temperable heat and solar control glass.

Double-glazing units produced in Turkey by Accredited Isıcam Authorized Manufacturers (IYÜ) using Şişecam Temperable Solar Low-E Glass are presented to the market under the name Isıcam K T.

Isıcam K T which is made of Şişecam Temperable Solar Low-E Glass reduces heat losses by 50% compared to ordinary double-glazing and reduces fuel costs in winter. On the other hand, it reduces solar heat transfer to indoors by 40-65% compared to ordinary double-glazing, thus saving on cooling costs in summer. Tempered heat and solar control glass is approximately 5 times more durable than non-tempered glass.

Temperable Solar Low-E glass can be applied on clean float glass as well as green, gray, bronze and blue colored glass upon request.

Glass thicknesses used; 6 and 8 mm

Advantages;

1- It provides solar control and heat insulation together with a single coating.

2- In addition to its low reflectivity, it creates more comfortable interior spaces by maximizing energy savings with maximum solar control and heat insulation without sacrificing natural daylight and its transparency.

3- It offers solutions to different needs of projects with different performance and colour options.

4- In line with architectural trends, it meets the need for safety arising from the expansion of glass surfaces and the increase of glass thickness in buildings. When a glass is broken, it breaks into small pieces that are not sharp and eliminates the risk of injury.

5- It prevents window fronts from being cold in winter and hot in summer and delays condensation on glass surface.

Areas of Usage:

The most commonly used coated glasses are Neutral 62/44 and Neutral 50/33. In these combinations, the first side represents light transmittance and the second side represents heat transmittance. The lower the second side is the more comfortable the interior of the houses will be in summer and the air conditioning costs will be saved.

Neutral 63/29: It offers solutions for projects such as residences, schools, hospitals, houses with view, hotels, mixed-use projects where low reflection and neutral effect are prominent besides outstanding thermal insulation and solar control.

Neutral 70/40: It is preferred in residence, villa and shop window glasses where high light transmittance, low reflection and neutral effect come into prominence.

Neutral 70/37: It is used in residence, villa and showcase windows where high light transmittance is required as well as excellent thermal insulation and sun control.

Neutral 58/32: It provides an ideal solution for projects such as residences, offices and hospitals that need effective heat and solar control.

Neutral 51/28: It is preferred in projects such as offices, hospitals and hotels where optimum daylight and maximum solar control are requested.

Neutral 50/27: It is used in projects such as offices, hospitals and hotels where a bluish color effect is requested on the facade as well as optimum daylight and maximum sun control.

Neutral 62/44: It offers ideal solutions for projects such as residences and schools where high light transmittance, heat insulation and solar control are required.

Neutral 50/33: It is used in office, hotel and hospital projects where optimum light transmission, thermal insulation and effective solar control are preferred.

Neutral 43/28 and Neutral 41/27: Used in hot climate regions and roof skylights where controlled daylight and more effective solar control come into prominence.

Deep Blue 40/28: It provides ideal solutions for projects and roof skylights where controlled daylight, more effective solar control and blue effect on the facade are demanded.

Performance Chart:

Thermal Transmittance Coefficient (U value) (W/m2K): It is the criterion of thermal insulation in glasses. Lower U-value means better thermal insulation, less heating costs and more comfortable winters.
